MELBOURNE, Australia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 3, 2018-- WEX Card Australia, a subsidiary of WEX Inc. (NYSE: WEX), a leading provider of corporate payment solutions, today announced that it has signed a significant agreement with Z Energy Ltd.

Z Energy, a leading New Zealand Transport Energy Company, has selected WEX to develop, support and manage a fuel card processing platform for Z Energy in New Zealand along with an agreement to process Z Energy’s fuel cards over the next 5 years.

“Our ongoing investment in our technology infrastructure and front end systems is strengthening our reputation as the fuel card provider of choice for the major fuel companies in the region,” said Rick Rose, WEX Asia Pacific Managing Director. “We are delighted to commence our relationship with Z Energy and look forward to supporting the Z Energy fuel card business, which will allow them to concentrate on their core function of delivering quality fuel to their customers.”

While WEX has already been growing its footprint in Asia Pacific, this new deal represents its further expansion into New Zealand for the fuel arm of the business.
